Here are some cool links if you are interested in learning more about buying a loft in Tucson. There are actually some really cool loft developments that are being built right now including a lot of unique places designed by Rob Paulus (who designed the Ice House Lofts).

Have any info on or links to "The Avenue Lofts" in the Armory Park area?
Have you checked out http://www.downtowntucson.org/living/housing? The info on this site doesn't have many details, but it does indicate that reservations are being accepted. Here's my free advice as a real estate professional : Be sure you understand your rights to cancel should you decide to reserve one of the lofts. Reservations are usually the first step before the state and developer have completed all the research on the property and before the developer has been cleared by the state to begin selling. For more info about lot reservations, you can try the Arizona Department of Real Estate website or the National Association of Realtors website. Lots of luck to you!

Does anyone know anything about "the Lofts at 5th Ave" in downtown Tucson? I just saw the banner on the building the other day. When are they going to be available? Has anyone seen floorplans? Prices?

Here is some news -

I heard from someone that the 44 Broadway Lofts in downtown Tucson are stopping development. Other local Tucson developers supposedly have previously passed on the project because of architectural and building design issues. I guess it is not the best time to be building anything. I think the number of new homes being built in the U.S. is at a 10+ year low right now.

We will have to wait and see what happens.

No replies from the Broadway Lofts developer. Am ready to buy and have registered. This project appears to be dead. Also, the Post "lofts" are no longer on the public MLS. Way overpriced. Will probably be converted to rentals.

Have you also checked out Indigo Modern?

I just wrote a post on this development. It is designed by Ron Paulus and the homes are very unique and on the the 3rd Street Bike route. However they are not downtown Smile
