Is it really possible for me to start real estate investing from outside the state you want to invest in?
I am currently deployed to Iraq and I have been wanting to start investing in real estate for sometime now, and I would like to get started from out here if at all possible. When I go back to the states in December, I still won't be going back to that state that I want to buy property in for about 4 months after I get back. With the foreclosure market being kind of nice right now, should I wait?
It wouldn't be a bad idea to wait; unless you intimately know the area you're buying in and/or have an agent you're close with, buying sight unseen is a risky idea.

Then again, the internet makes all things possible. If you have an idea of where you're looking and can get info from an agent it is certainly something to consider. Were you looking to invest in Arizona?
Real Estate Investment is now treated as a major case of capital budgeting by using state-of-the-art investment analysis which incorporates the future stream of income it may generate and the associated risk adjustments. Miami Beach real estate is the best value in the United States now.Investment theorists extended techniques such as probability, time value of money and utility into its analysis.
I think now is a great time to buy, but only if you're buying foreclosures or REO because so many people will need rental once they are evicted from their homes by the bank. If you plan it right, the profits will be there in a few yrs when the market turn around.
There are many types of investments and I hope that investing in real estate will be a good option to earn money
